PASTORAL CARE

The Pastoral Care Ministry's mission is to bridge the gap between HPFC leadership and member. The bridge is built through regular contact with members and encourages them to seek, nurture and utilize their God-given gifts for Kingdom building.

Our motto: “Kingdom Building Through Love.”

What is Pastoral Care?
Care and support provided by pastoral staff to the congregation and visiting friends of Higher Praise Family Church. They are not counselors or therapists, but they offer positive motivation and Biblical guidance.

A pastoral care worker is available for general life issues. They work closely with other pastoral care workers and the Pastor to ensure that the needs of the congregation are handled appropriately.

What does Pastoral Care look like at HPFC?
Welfare Calls- A member of our “Senior Saints” ministry will call members from the Church Roster to check on them, encourage them and pray with them if necessary. In addition, Pastoral Care communicates with the Intercessory Prayer ministry to cover you in prayer.

The Pastoral Care Ministry at Higher Praise Family Church is here. . .

  • When you are struggling emotionally or spiritually due to circumstances such as illness, death of a loved one, personal, marital, financial or family problems.
  • When you may question or doubt your “faith” walk, your personal relationship with Christ, or need to make a significant decision
  • When you need someone to pray with you and/or just listen.
  • When you may need a referral for mental health or substance abuse resources, family and individual counseling, etc.

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit
Has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God which
He bought with His own blood.”
